Though the construction was all new, the homeowners wanted their summer home to feel old, as though it had been passed down over many generations. KMD drew on memories of Katie’s childhood summers on Martha’s Vineyard in the house built by her great-grandparents. Middle Valley Road was furnished with a combination of new, antique, and vintage items to create unfussy, layered rooms.
